Several ideas based on a slightly traditional reading
of "Catcher"; focusing on major characters(I forgot
who some of the minor characters were so I might've
left some out):) Of course, this is with a
multi-billion dollar budget and a Lazarus machine,
lol. I know some of these characters don't appeaer in
the novel, but here's how I've sort of pictured them:)

Holden Caulfield: Tobey Macguire/Wes Bentley/Chris
O'Donnell/Brad Renfro(see "Telling Lies in America")
Leonardo Dicaprio(lol, j/k)/

Phoebe Caulfield: the little girl from "Days of
Heaven"

Mr. Antolini: Kevin Spacey/Lenny Bruce/Bill Murray

Mrs. Antolini:Mary Tyler Moore/Elizabeth Tayler(from
"Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf")/Sigourney Weaver/
Susan Sarandon/

Ackley: Gary Busey/the boy with the glasses from
"Scent of a Woman"(the one who squares off with Pacino
and O'Donnell)

Alli Caulfield: Elijah Wood

D.B. Caulfield:?

Ernie the Piano Player: Tom Cruise/Chazz
Palminteri/James Woods/Don Johnson/

Jane Gallagher: Hilary Swank

Stradlater: Ben Affleck/Jack Kerouac/

Ernest Morrow's Mother: Sharon Stone/Fran Drescher/
Marilyn Monroe/Renee Zellweger/

Mr. Spencer(the history teacher right?): Sean
Connery/Morgan Freeman/Dustin Hoffman/Al Pacino/Robin
Williams?/Stanley Kubrick/James Gandolfini/Richard
Burton/William S. Burroughs/Spencer Tracy/Anthony
Hopkins/Ian McKlellan/Jimmy Stewart/Donal Sutherland/

Sally Hayes:Courtney Love/Heather Graham/Katie Holmes/

the Bellhop(forgot his name): Russell Crowe/Bruce
Willis(it'd be interesting, wouldn't it? lol)/Tom
Sizemore/Chris Penn/Joe Pesci(couldn't resist, lol)

Prostitute: Jody Foster (from "Taxi Driver" days)

Any comments? ;)
