my copy is the most recent paperback edition (you know, the white with little rainbow stripes in the corner) and so are my copies of RHTRBC&S:AI, and Nine Stories. my F&Z is white with the two green lines at the bottom and it's got that nice old book smell that just makes the experience of reading it that much more pleasant. i wish i had older copies of the rest, and i'm so much of a dork that every time i go to the used bookstore i look for them. they do have a few copies of F&Z in hardcover. i should check if they've got first edition, that would be nice...

i just finished hapworth, it was great! i'm so glad i got to read it so soon. man, i will never get sick of salinger. thanks to everyone who helped me find it and thanks especially to mark kuhar. now if only i was half as much of a genius as seymour, i could read all those books within the next 5 years! my my, what a remarkable child.
