Yikes. Mary McCarthy savaged old Jerry at every opportunity. If you
look at the new book about her that is on the "new arrivals" shelves,
you'll see that every JDS entry in the index is either a bash or a
reference to something nasty she said.

I don't think there's a connection; his name is Trillin (no "g" at the
end there).
