Do you know what I think? (I'm sure that about five thousand people will jump on to disagree with me, but what the heck.) I think that it doesn't matter if we've discussed something here before. We have new subscribers here all the time, and none of them have heard it. It's usually the new folks who have something new to offer. You never know, it might not have been said before. I don't mind seeing things twice. Not if it's meant to foster some real conversation.

The Bananafish List helps me get through my (long, sometimes boring) workday. So hey, if you want to talk about the color yellow, it'll probably be better than what I should be doing.

Er, right now. I'd better go.

Regards,
Cecilia.

ObSal: I'm trying to think of an exception, but Salinger's characters don't tend to have real, everyday jobs. They're all actors or writers or artists or musicians. Soldiers, maybe. Or clergy too, I suppose. Do paper-pusher just not make for good fiction, or is this saying something else?
