For God's sake, Cec, for God's sake.

In no way am I mocking your leaders. On the contrary,
my plea here has been for a little common decency &
loyalty. It just saddens me so much to see a great people
turning to rend their own with such priggish vindictiveness.

Fair dos, chaps. Give the bloke a chance. At this stage
of the game, Harry S. was preparing to fry a couple of
hundred thousand Japs. All W. has done is mildly upset
the most extensive tyrrany in the world & - at home -
start keeping his promises. (A strange concept, I realise,
for anyone brought up to look on Clinton behaviour as
    the norm.)

So far so good - as yer man was heard to say passing
    the twelfth floor windows.

As for Irish politics, Cec, my lips are sealed. Having been
an honoured & pampered Guest of the Nation for the
past sixty years, I don't intend to have the term applied
to myself as Frank O'Connor once designated another Brit.

    Scottie B.
