I saw her interviewed on a couple of different news shows, and walked away
from the interviews with two strong impressions:

1. remarkable woman.
2. doesn't have a clue about the real nature of the people she's dealing
with despite her experiences past and present.

I say #2 because of the type of appeals she made to the kidnappers. Number
2 follows from number 1 in that her belief in human nature seems, at times,
unskakable, admirable, and misguided.

Pity about her husband...we need more people like him in the world, not
less.
