Uh-oh, politics. Well here's my two cents. I agree with the Greens that
we need a shake up. However, I'm on the the opposite side of the coin, and
I typically vote straight Libertarian. My father always said they'd get a
higher voter turnout if their was a "None of the above" slot on the
ballots. Well there is, sort of. There's actually a few of them. Enough
for a person to say "none of the above" and still show their general
stance. And it's nice to be always able to say "I voted against ____."
Maybe that will change eventually, and I will have to pay attention to
candidates. Wouldn't that be nice.

Daniel -- all this rah rah military crap is pretty irrelevant when it
comes to the facts surrounding US foreign policy. Favorable comparisons
with other countries is irrelevant when we're talking about US foreign
policy. Bottom line is the best interests of the US people and the kind
of country we want to be. So far, I don't think we've been acting in
our real self interests and we haven't always acted like the country I
want us to be.

It doesn't bother me at all, by the way, to see the Taliban removed from
power, or Hussein. Just remember that less than a year before 9/11 Bush
gave the Taliban millions of dollars to help with its "war on drugs."
 Don't be surprised if some of that money helped, even indirectly, the
9/11 terrorists. Our government walks awkwardly while carrying its big
stick, and I'm getting a bit sick of it. I voted for Bush the first
time around -- both of them, actually. This next election I'm very
tempted to vote Democrat if they can drag someone up that isn't a bigger
moron than Bush. My real preference would be to see Powell or McCain
win the Republican Party nomination, but that's not going to happen...
