I'd just read the first few pages and see how it flows to you. Quite a
bit of the Dostoevsky I've read seems translated with stilted English,
but I think I've been using older translations. Seems like translators
forget to write good English sometimes and retain too many of the
elements of the original language's grammar.

Hope you enjoy it...most people who like D. generally argue Brothers K.
or Crime and Punishment as his best.
