JPB: Yep, I think you have a point. And there's the fatigue factor too -- I've heard
some otherwise pretty intelligent politicians say some real doozies after having been on
the campaign trail a few weeks.

Daniel -- I've met people whom you couldn't force to read at gunpoint, but that could do
almost anything they could imagine with their hands. There are different kinds of
intelligence.

The question I neglected to address in my previous post is, "What kind of intelligence do
we want to see in a President?" I think cunning may be a good characteristic for a
President to have, but combine that with consistent failure of the imagination and...
