Some interesting issues in recent posts here...anybody following the
thread might be interested in some leisure reading: this month's _Wired_
features an article on The Well and the folks who founded it. A bit of
semi-theoretical mission-talk and a general account of what The Well
founders expected from their service (ie, giving intelliegent and
provocative/provoked people the means to stay constantly in touch with one
another). I'm not done readin it myself, but I am enjoying it...
obsalinger: have we had, over the past year+, any indication that
Salinger realizes we're here, doing what we are (which is chatting about
his fiction between substantive digressions, I guess)?
