okay, i was rereading nine stories, specifically uncle wiggily in ct, when i
read the reference to l. manning vines and how he's a lousy author who wrote a
book about 4 people who starved to death in alaska, and i realized i had read
the name before. so, i searched and found the other reference in rhtrbc when
buddy says his favorite author coincidentally the same as his c.o.,
specifically l. manning vines. so who is this guy??
