yes, another reader....another fan. I first read Catcher in the Rye my
sophmore year in highschool, which, might i add was a very trecherous time
for a very confused and perpetually depressed girl. Strangely enough I was
institutionalized shortly after i finished the book. I never understood what
exactly it was, but of course i believe to this day that it was more than
coincidence. However, i do not believe this was the reason for the
breakdown.......there were many other things. I never continued to read
other Salinger works until recently, which was probably for the best. Now,
being older I can grasp the general feel of his genius without losing my own.
I've reread most of his writings and can honestly say that Seymour an
Introduction is probably my favorite, but love them all just the same. I'm
excited to hear from all of you!! :)
