I don't think there are too many authors as good as their work. What I
really like about mr. salinger is that I think he knew that all along. In
RHTRBC, I noticed he gave "Wise Child" Glass family performers stage names
and wondered if he was wishing he had the wisdom to write with a pen name
at an early age as well. But he's taken the hard road and may be more of
a saint in his silence than we'll ever understand...or maybe not. I doubt
I could like anyone though as much as I like him on the page...not as
consistently, anyway, will
ps (my wife and dog excepted, and maybe a few poets, too)
