for good or worse this is going to be one of the
things in my head everytime i read TCITR. you do make
some very nice although very arguable points. anyway
my point. viewing this (the stop when they say no
thing) as a sexual dysfunction seems to me wrong.
aren't you supposed to stop if someone says no? it's
rape if you don't and that seems more sexually
dysfunctional than not forcing somebody. it's not
required that you be a victim of child abuse to stop
when someone says no. wouldn't you be more likely to
NOT stop if you had been abused. the vicious circle
kinda thing. no offense intended though camille. i
just disagreed with this part of it. i'm very
interested in your thoughts on child abuse in catcher
and maybe the other stories.
