Ha! i kept thinking of someone going through their library card catalogue looking for kieslowski... i could elaborate, but. i could write a hundred-thousand-million essays on his films but after a point they start to take away from the films themselves. it kind of wrecks it for you. there's so many little things. that's what makes him so good. like salinger. little things little things little things. (holden v. caulfield) thats for vitamin in case you don't remember. it would be better just to see the films for yourself and make your own connections or not. than to have some kid (me) who reads kieslowski and salinger all the time tell you what the connections are. the only connections i feel morally comfortable with stating are the literal ones. like kieslowski's untimely death. it's horrible. when salinger went into hiding. it was like he had died. and so the only thing we can do is say, try and find some of the older works. visiting a library that has "the inverted forest" (which i haven't done, i've only read what's come out in book form) in a magazine or a videostore that has "the double life of veronique" (this i've done). etc. today i got a cataloge from facet's video in chicago. they have Blind Chance, Camera Buff, etc. and something i've never heard of II Decalago, (i have two episodes of the decalogue) which they have listed as unavailable. too bad there's not a Jerome's bookstore in new hampshire that sent out catalogues huh? intended viewing order for three colours: blue, white, red suggested and personal choice: red, blue, white if you want to know where you can buy some kieslowski films that aren't available comercially in the us (namely _short film about killing, short film about love, the decalog, and some shorts_) i'd be more than happy to point you in the right direction. that's me, holden vitamin caulfield. paul. _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
