Question of music theory aside, I do think--more in terms of
"attitude"--there's a line that can be traced from Holden Caulfield and
Salinger, via any number of other figures, down through and into Kurt
("Come As You Are") Cobain--but is it possible Nirvana were playing out
a final set of variations?
