Actually, that´s the most interestig thing about Lynch´s movies, and 
especially Lost Highway... To try and figure out what is *really* 
going on... 

Lynch has said about LH that it is about a psychogenetic (psychochinetic???)
fugue... But which part is fantasy, and which is real??? That´s for the 
viewer to decide... I have seen the movie 4 times now and can still not 
decide what to think... 

But you´re right, he is best at his own stuff... Dune was more or less a 
disaster... Elephant Man worked ok, but is not one of my favourite Lynch 
movies...
