Whether or not this relates to Columbine, I truly don't know. I would just like to
share this news in hopes of spurring stronger feelings for gun control, especially
with children: When I arrived at school today, I came to find out that one of my
friends' brother shot himself yesterday afternoon - twice in the temple - he was 13
years old. I, at first, thought it must have been an accident, but once I talked to
more of my friends, they told me that it looked as if it could not have been anything
but purposefully done. His sister had come into the room and found him lying on the
floor, barely conscious.
Please, help to prevent this happening again. My friend's brother may have been just
one suicide case in many this year, but that doesn't make it any more right that he
had access to the gun.
