Well, yes. But isn't such a feeling inherent in the very definition of the
Blues? Music that's all about mourning what one has lost? Or never had in
the first place? Because I think there's a definite part of mourning lost
dreams, too.

I could go on. I'm sure that almost every blues song could apply in some
fashion or another.

But then, so could most rock songs. Or country songs. Or whatever other
label you want to slap onto a song. The beat is just a little different,
methinks.

It's a human condition, this mourning for lost dreams, lost loves. And when
we hear a song that's been written from the soul, don't we recognize that
feeling in ourselves?

So yes. Agreed.
