Does anybody else LOVE the scene in Mr. Deeds when one of those wonderful
women (is it only me that thinks she's Auntie Bee from the Andy Griffith
show?) announces, under oath, that everybody in the courtroom--including the
judge!--is 'pixilated'?
Gosh, it's GREAT to jump back into the bananafishbowl and find such
stimulating discussion.
As a lapsed historian (M. Litt. Edin.) I have no trouble getting nostalgic
for ALL of the past. And with enough bourbon in my belly, I can even cry
when a good old Canadian group like The Band launches into "The Night the
Drove Ol' Dixie Down"--even though I hate the South and most of what it
stood for....
I'll try to get back to this thread after I've dealt with the 113 "official"
messages that have accumulated in my IN-box.
