Dear Amber,
Well yes, of course I'd like to meet up. As it so happens, that is my
weekend to volunteer at the Art Institute, so I will be in the city on
Saturday the 11th. My volunteer shift runs until 1:00pm, and the museum
is a terrific central location to meet up with visitors. (I dragged
Paul Kennedy all over the place just a few months ago. We don't JUST go
to baseball games and make fun of each other. We make fun of each other
in museums, too.) I can meet you on the front steps next to the lions
-- the museum is just two blocks away from the el tracks, on Michigan &
Monroe -- and we can either troll through the museum or go grab some
coffee. Or Chicago Style pizza or whatever.
Subterranean, huh? That's a cool, hipster kind of place where great
bands play all the time. If you're a band bar kind of person, you'll
probably love it.
Let me know what you'd like to do. My plans are pretty flexible that
day.
