In defense of kids these days, I doubt if their parents or grandparents know
what communism is either, other than "evil," particularly if Archie Bunker is
any indicator. I think most people mix up communism with fascism.
But if you really want to be disappointed in your fellow citizens, just watch
the tv game show Street Smarts, where two contestants guess whether people on
the street can answer (mostly) very simple questions like "How many years in
a century?" or "What kind of nut is in peanut brittle?"
