Okay, after my left-wing shout-out I hope no one thinks I'm on Bush's
side. I also don't want to deny Emily Dickinson as being anything less
than a poetic phenomenon. I did an eight-page paper breaking down a
poem of hers line by line--extremely enjoyable. Still, it is a little amusing
that a song like that can fit into her poems. My freshmen year English
teacher (a big fan of Dickinson) was the one who told me, so I'm sure
there's no harm intended.
