I believe you've left out a few choice bits of information here, my good
man: firstly, the smell of that VERY old raccoon coat was of mothballs;
secondly, that the ol' Stutz burned oil like Saddam in Kuwait; and thirdly,
that ol' Zelda had a bit more than her fair share to drink that fateful
night, on the shores of the Chapaquiddick. But a fair story nonetheless.
regards,

'... can somebody translate this please? ...'
Ah, Zazie, I remember it as if it were yesterday.
The smell of that old raccoon coat; sprawled in
the back of the Stutz, one's hair blowing in
the warm wind as we roared along under the big
yellow Carolina moon; Scott pissed as ever in
the rumble seat; Ernie trying to find the gears;
& Zelda clinging to me arm, her violet eyes brimming
with love as she whispered: 'Come on. Aw, come on.
Just one more time.'
So, then, there was nothing for it but tune up the uke
& launch - yet again into those poignant, unforgettable
lines:
'Yes. We have no bananas ...
We have no bananas. Today.'
Happy days.
Scottie B.
