In this instance it was the Matron of honor who Buddy is about to lead up to
his and Seymour's old apartment along with the other bride's family he has
been stuck in a limo with. She says lead on Macduff. Being Muriel's Matron
of honor I guess it fits for her to allude to Macbeth in a nonsensical way.
Or maybe I'm letting Salinger off too easy.
