Eh, I've had some of those experiences too (knife pulled on me, gun pulled
on me, dead surfer buddies in So. CA, etc.). I just don't have them daily,
or regularly, or often, or even once in a while, as you do in wartime. It
just seems different to me.

Hell, I've even taught Freshman Composition :). Gasp!

But you know all about that too, will :).
