You crack me up Tina, I don't know where you grew up in Britain but mum was
the least of my worries. I went to a school where not being a druggy was
unusual and if you resisted it was with fists. I remember waiting at the
school bus stop in eighth grade, most of the kids were my cousins but there
was this one kid who was a cholo and he flunked twice (back in the day when
you could actually be flunked) and I was young for my class so he was like
three years older than me, he had a full beard in eighth grade. He tried to
pressure my younger cousins to smoke a joint with him (they were girls and
he was trying to impress them or something) and they looked to me for help.
So I told him to put his shit away. He spit on me and lit up. Ok, I was
pissed but I was holding back my temper but then he blew his pot smoke in my
face and flicked ashes at me. That was it, the next thing I remember was
the bus driver and one of my cousins pulling me off him. My shirt was full
of blood but I found no cuts on me. The bus driver lifted a little Raven
.25 caliber pistol off him and threw it in the irrigation ditch. He asked
me if either one of us wanted to see the Principal but we both agreed to
just drop it. Well, I never saw this kid in my neighbor hood again. I told
my brother the story and I think he told some of my older cousins and well,
he was encouraged to catch a ride to school some where else. The funny
thing is, that was only one of many times I had to turn down drugs with my
fists. So, tina, keep that shit away from me.
