Man, you and Daniel make me grateful I grew up in So Ca. All the
stoners I knew were pretty laid back -- if someone said no, the answer
was, "cool." Never asked again.

Of course, once someone WAS stoned, well, gloves were off :).
Especially if they were on acid. Good lord I could tell some stories... :)
