Playing, yes; nice?

After three days I come down from the mountain (literally) and here we find
the spider weaving his web and then invites the fly to dinner.
Daniel

Jim,
Why not call up the evidence? Because my point to Luke really has nothing
to do with Ashcroft at all, as a thorough review of the history of our
conversation will reveal. In fact, the point, about rhetoric and power,
even in Luke's world, was demonstrated to my delight long ago, and the rest
of this is just having fun. You and I know what Ashcroft is. So does
anyone who pays any attention. Such a discussion here is not necessary for
me. I'd rather just get Daniel going....
John O.

John, what is more important, the point or the person?
Daniel

Daniel,
You're wrong about people in my world (like you, for instance, despite your
attempts at denial) not having any basis for systems of judgment. We have
all sorts of them. We have numerous, carefully crafted, heterogeneous ones
that are constantly evolving. You do, too. You'd just rather pretend that
you don't. Read Just Gaming, you'll see "just" what I mean.
John O.

Oh, I don't doubt you have all sorts of basis for you judgments, especially
numerous, carefully crafted heterogeneous ones that are constantly evolving.
I am not surprised that you can't see another 'judgment' that does not play
your game, how could you? You plucked out your eyes. In fact, this claim
of yours makes my point nicely, thank you. Yet some how you insist on
dragging me into your multi-voiced calamity as though you aren't arguing
against this world I speak of so different than yours. You are willing to
give credence to your heterogeneous Omlor world based on the individual's
inability of knowing Truth yet you insist you know your world is true but
not just true for you but True for me too. The best judgments that Omlor
world could muster with its heterogeneous base are agnostic ones. And
concerning evolution, evolving towards what, From one state of numerous,
carefully crafted, heterogeneous, constantly evolving judgments to another
state of numerous , carefully crafted, heterogeneous, constantly evolving
judgments? Or like Literary critical methods, is it all a big cycle like
the worm ourobouros? Or as far as physics knows, that homogeneous state of
the background temperature of the universe? Or is all this numerous,
carefully crafted, heterogeneous, constantly evolving strife just the
turnings of the worm?
Daniel

And you keep talking this nonsense about big-T Truth. Here's a simple
experiment. Let's look at a single question and a single book. I know,
let's take the Bible, for instance. There's been a lot of talk about it in
these parts recently.
John O.

Nonsense? from the man who sees the choices in the world as numerous,
carefully crafted, heterogeneous ones that are constantly evolving, and woe
to those out there who are not in the "In Crowd" with an intellectual ear to
hear this multi-voice.
Daniel

I'm going to ask you a simple question, and by the time I get back to town
on Sunday, I want a big-T Truth answer.
Does the Bible say it's OK for Tina to have sex with her girlfriend?
Does it say it's not OK?
John O.

It is interesting that you bring up relationships as the test for big T
truth, and it is quite telling that the relationship is exclusively
physical. Now, flying directly in the face of Freud, of all the important
things about relationships sex is the least important. The bible does say
that it is ok for Tina to love (agape) her girl friend, in fact it is
required.

But now concerning Eros, sex, and the Bible; sex between women is not
directly addressed but concerning the union of two people Jesus said ""Have
you not read that He who made them at the beginning "made them male and
female,'and said, "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother
and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? So then,
they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined
together, let not man separate."

So, Omlor world swings on the hinges of sex and in the other world the
hinges are something else, something much much more important. So, is it ok
for Tina to have sex with her girlfriend? Now that is a question between
her and her maker but how she could do that without denying what Jesus said
is beyond me, but regardless, big T truth demands that I should love her
never the less and that is what really matters. Take Ashcroft for example,
what is he guilty of? If his actions have manifested hate by lying,
stealing, or murder then I am with you but if Ashcroft has violated John's
current intellectually evolving fashionable morals then he better be quick
with the knife otherwise it will be turned.
Daniel

I ask because I've been reading the paper, and each article has umpteen
conservative religious experts and scholars saying that the Bible says it's
not OK and every other article has umpteen liberal ones saying the Bible
doesn't say that at all.
John O.

John, your rhetoric has over reached itself again, don't let words like
"religious experts" fool you, the 'umpteen liberal ones' live in your world
and the Bible is just a text, much like your expertise, it is all about
power politics and rhetoric.
Daniel

What's the big-Truth my boy? Inquiring minds want to know. Is it OK for
Tina to do it according to this goofy little book or not?
John O.

Goofy book? So some texts are more and some less goofy in Omlor world, it
doesn't even rate a place in the heterogeneous, multi-minded world of Omlor?
So texts aren't just texts, some are goofy, interesting.
Daniel

Lay it on me.

I'll be back later to see the revelations.

Of course, why anyone would care about the question remains a mystery to me.
John O.

Of course it remains a mystery to you, however, I have seen no evidence that
the mysterious has ever kept your judgment back. Just another stroke on the
fairways of Omlor world. John, are you immune from revelations?
Daniel

Still enjoying the silliness,
--John

Is that the motto of Omlor world; you are amazing John, you have distilled
"We have numerous, carefully crafted, heterogeneous ones that are constantly
evolving." down to one word.
Daniel
