First, (again) nowhere in anything Derrida has written does he ever "reject"
logocentrism in any way -- so this claim is irrelevant.

Second, it's conclusion, if it pretends to refer to Derrida's work, is also
simply wrong.

Luke, please read "Racism's Last Word," by Jacques Derrida in Critical
Inquiry, translated by Peggy Kamuf, vol 12, 1985, pp 290-299.
 
You'll see how completely wrong you are.

Also, regarding Daniel's scattered remarks on Europe and Derrida's writings
-- I really have grown bored discussing texts with people who have not read
them. If you have not read the letter in question signed by Habermas and Derrida
or Derrida's writings about the future of Europe, this discussion remains a
waste of time.

PPS: Luke, your citation about "a sort of monstrosity" was written within a
very specific historical context (Paris '67) and in reference to very specific
historical events both in the Paris streets and the French University. You
might want to recall that when you cite it.
