Hi Scottie,

I don't know. I guess it just comes with being especially bored as a
tropical wave sweeps over Florida and the golf on television doesn't start for
another hour.

But for me these little exchanges are like playing with kids in the pool --
for a while you can pretend to be one again and splash around and make a lot of
noise and not have to be civilized and you can say silly things in response
to their silliness and wrestle in fun and not have to really care about any of
it. There's no pressure and no responsibility really and when you're done you
come out and dry off and go back to adult, professional life when you have to.

This is all just so much goofiness vanishing into the ether on a rainy
Thursday and there's no hope of anyone actually learning very much, so why the hell
not?

I'm sure I'll get tired of it soon enough and move on to reading and prepping
for classes and other assorted weekend activities.

But thanks for the words about my head.

All the best,

--John
