ARGH!

There is no way of telling who wrote what. Don't try to compensate or
explain or analyze who wrote it, why people said it was Vonnegut, or why
Vonnegut didn't write it in the first place. If someone would have said a
two-year old from Boston wrote it, I would have believed it. If someone
poted "Hello, all...I'm Kurt Vonnegut" and said Vonnegut wrote it, I would
have believed it. There's no reason not to. A gifted writer such as
Vonnegut (or an unknown author by the name of Salinger who I partiularly
like) is able to write in any style he (or she!) wishes. If he wanted to
fill it with "platitudes and truisms" he could. Who's gonna stop him. I'm
not. And I hope you don't either. So forget it. Someone said it was
him....why not believe them...we found out it wasn't him, it's not him. I
can't explain it any other way. So forget it.
