I am beginning to wonder about how our email words walk in and out of
print worlds and thought I'd let the list know about a cute one...on
another list (ahh buddy, don't worry, bananafish is always my best list!)
where we talk about computers and writing I was involved in a discussion
that actually got published in a pretty heady academic journal called
_computers and composition_ (see vol 14, #1, p 111-36) and thought the
folks here might enjoy one of my posts recently published in the journal's
attempt to bridge online discussion ideas and print...

In the middle of discussing a review of a book by paul leblanc on
educational software, the reviewer got on the list (alliance for computers
and writing) and the discussion started to really get
interesting...here's one of my posts:

"I think this discussion is "reader-friendly" and have been enjoying the
thread also as a way to "talk" with a text's author. As a critical
theorist, I can't help smiliing at how wonderfully we've played with the
author's intention and the reader's reception online If only Salinger
would join the list..."
