	To be honest, I always wondered a bit about that "Malcs".  
	Just a teenshy bit twee, I thought, just a teeny-weeny bit 
	A.A.Milne.  But of course the explanation is now laid before us. 
	As, indeed, is that of the Seattle connection.  I'd assumed till 
	now that the Crane boys were a brilliant parody of Pacific Western 
	manhood but now I have an image to go with all that 
	politico-sociological correctness.  Niles? 

	What I long to read are some further extracts of the Glasgow 
	memoirs.  I'm especially eager to read of all those invitations 
	to make love with persons of the Scottish persuasion.  Something 
	of a riot, I venture.

	Not so much J.D. Salinger.  More Rab. C. Nesbitt.  (In-joke.)
