On another list, a creative writing list, there's a person who claims to
have writtten much and turned down large $ to publish, but the evidence is
scarce...however, her posts are usually interesting and often contain
information I use...

I thought of trying to read one of Scottie's books, but hell, I'm still
working my way through _Mason&Dixon_ and well, I *do* read scottie on my
screen and though I don't often agree, I do see the power of his writing
on my screen and that's the proof or evidnece I need to know he's a
writer. Same for my colleague mentioned in the first paragraph of this
post--our word worlds are changing and to be honest, I like online words
too much to stop the show now and even believe that some of what we post
here is worth including in my salinger book...

Though I don't see many things like scottie (mr. bowman?)(hehehe...;), I
do admit I think more and more about how most of what I've written may be
less of who i am while hoping what i will write will let me become more of
who I am...looking back on one's pubs can be productive or scary and these
days, I have to admit, I prefer to see my next poem on my horizon with
more clarity than anything hanging out in paper, ink, and ten point type.

Rave on Scottie Bowman!
