The only King I've read is The Dark Half.  Between that and some comments 
I've read there seems to be a bit of an undercurrent of, "Hey, I'm serious 
literature too" :)  TDH did seem to offer a bit in the way of commentary on 
the creative process, tho.  I think it's worth a little bit of study.  But 
no, it's not literary fiction.  There's too much blood and guts there just 
for its own sake :)  

But it was an easy read...
