Just a short addendum to this earlier posting:
It was SO SIMPLE a word to remember – I just couldn’t come up with it
yesterday morning since it felt like I’d imbibed a glass or two of wine
(I didn’t) before I came into work.
What I also couldn’t put into words in ‘59 but probably felt was the
*integrity* (I might have called it “being so serious” back then) of
the performance by the Platters.  Their performance really gave the
song meaning.
