yeah, i know about the break they're taking, but i can dream can't i?
the chiropodist thing comes from Raise High The Roofbeam, at one point buddy
tells the bridegroom that seymour "was a chiropodist" before he joined the
army, and later she says "your brother's no chiropodist." those are two of
my three favorite jds quotes, and the other is "i see you're looking at my
feet," from bananafish. i don't have a thing for feet physically, but they
exude quite a bit of comic potential and dad found a way of capturing that,
i thought almost perfectly. i do have very large feet, i wear a size 15 (50
2/3 in france) shoe, so maybe i do harbor some kind of foot fetish, or at
least a rather outsize appreciation for them. lastly, i couldn't very well
claim to be a professional chiropodist, could i?
