That was my reasoning. Still, I felt an eerie sense of unwelcome (a sort
of Hitchcockian, unheimlichian unwelcome) as I
arrived home to find the foyer filled with cases of shotguns. Several
cases. I feared that if I peaked over at the next door neighbor's, his
foyer, too, would be filled with cases of newly-arrived shotguns, all
issued via ground mail from the NRA as a kind of combined "thanks" and
Christmas present to the people of Texas for nurturing such a right-minded
fellow as the youthful GW Bush.

It's not the guns I mind so much as the emerging attitude that gun
ownership is somehow now healthy and progressive.

Awfully soap-boxy around here lately, isn't it?

No, but perhaps some sort of write-up is in order. Do you have dates in
mind? I'm going to dust off the old experiment next term, too; maybe we
can coordinate something?

il n'y a pas de hors texte,

Matt
