I think it's a bit silly for Matthew to bitch and whine on list about
John's bitching and whining. If you really feel that way, e-mail John
privately.

For my part, I've engaged in enough of that myself to not feel I have
the right to complain about even Matthew's bitching and whining,
so...have at it. Just think about what you're doing, that's all.

Scottie -- I'm really wondering, right now, what you must think of
_Ulysses_ or, God help us all, _Finnegans Wake_.

Some authors try to seduce narrower audiences than others. To each his
own. Thank God they've written what they've written, though.
