Hello, everyone. Thanks much for the vote of confidence in giving
Catcher to a fourteen-year-old boy. I don't trust my own experience
because I engaged in too much inadvisable reading at that age, and if
I do the wrong thing, his parents may exile me or something.
But Catcher and F&Z sound like the perfect combo. I even ran across
nice editions at the local bookstore, so I can go the deluxe route.
As for the other suggestions, both public and private, I'm very
grateful! They give me further gift ideas.
Cheers ... and feel free to continue the battle royale! I second
Matt's fan mail. Any discussion here is good enough. Why limit it to
Salinger when Salinger refuses to share with us? <grin>
