Been thinking about this one...the earlier post describing Mr. Antolini's
psych and possible motivations seemed right on target, but I think the text
deliberately leaves room for ambiguity regarding Antolini's motives.  Point
is, his actions Could have been seen as perverse, or Could have been seen as
genuine, healthy affection.  Holden's reaction is, I think, the point.
 Antolini's psych is, I think, a mystery.  He's like an inkblot.  What we
read into him is important in that it reveals to us ourselves...and Holden.
