the bible's not universally accepted as absolute truth, but it doesn't take
universal acceptance for a few pernicious verses to do their damage -- a
coupla hundred million believers has been sufficient -- homosexuality,
abortion, evolution, slavery, what's yer pleasure? . . . quote yer verse &
grab yer ammo -- i was just pointing to the source of western homophobia --
relativity & continental drift would be hot buttons too, except jahweh
didn't think of 'em before he sent the book to the printer -- & not that it
should matter, but i'm of the desi arnaz school of theology: i think god's
got a lotta splainin to do
