this reminds me of an english class i once took with a lad called
dorothy finan.

we were studying catcher at the time. she asked us what we thought about
the whole mr. antolini thing.

it was the first time in five years of secondary education that i'd been
asked my opinion on a piece of writing. you should have seen the class.
we all just sat there looking at each other. we were asked what we
thought about something and we didn't know what to do.
