 wait...wasn't Allie the girl that Holden was interested in, but never saw?  I
 think she **could have been** Holden's catcher if he had the sense to go see
 her, make some real effort to drive over to where she was staying.  I think
 Phoebe was Holden's catcher, and the rest of us need someone like that :)

Allie was Holden's younger brother who died.And about us all needing
Phoebe,didn't she disappoint Holden by saying"You don't like anything."There
are other things she says that are not of much help to him but I can't
remember most of them.He truly did love her,and that was nice,but she didn't
really catch him,did she?
