Hmmm...just saw a program about Mark David Chapman gunning down John Lennon.
His delusional link to Holden Caulfield was emphasized and they even had some
cop or something say "The Catcher in the Rye is considered an essential in the
stalkers repertoire" (something like that).  Judging from the empassioned
threads about certain characters and the fact that Chapman also donned the
Holden persona in New York by retracing Caulfields steps (though I can't find
the passage where Holden shoots a Beatle) I wonder, is Paul, George, and Ringo
safe from all of you?
