I was in love with a Muriel Glass once, I think we all were. They're the 
people who don't know what it is they understand but are still capable of 
knowing that there's something refreshingly good about the people who 
can. 
Seymour always liked noisy girls...and when it comes down to it, Muriel 
is like a child. She's got the attatchments to her mother, the need to 
play dress up...Seymour says that Muriel is in love with the institution 
of marriage, more in love with playing house. She's a female "manchild" 
who's got the innocence because she's been overprotected of any 
corruption by her mother, as well as anything else....and still loves Seymour
for showing her, from a distance that she can observe but not comment on, 
what its all about. And when she doesn't want to see it, she can laugh 
and just call him silly...and paint her nails.
