Oooh, that's a good question. I think Franny complained about the
accumulation of knowledge without ever gaining wisdom--knowledge without
wisdom is as empty as the mere accumulation of wealth for its own sake, and in
many ways it's motivated by the same impulse--self aggrandizement.
