I thought it was a pretty good response, really. The man who wrote the original post is, to me, very cleverly not really saying much. The comment is, I think, a pretty good observation about what's really going on. It's just that the guy seemed to be using language in an obscure way to shore up a weak point--maybe hoping (consciously or unconsciously) to makes his ideas sound more intelligent than their real content would normally allow.
