My xmas card from Warren included a picture of his house and this note:
"How are you doing out there, man? Hope you haven't been swallowed by the
computer. My big Salinger piece two years ago in still not in print. I'm
just not 'online.' I'm still in the phenomenological world."
My xmas visit with Dan Mahanty was most enjoyable. He not only tolerated
too much licking from Holden Caulfield (my frenetic springer spaniel who
is two years old and still acting like a puppy) but also gave me a good
refresher on why the dreams of young people are so vital...he's a
beautiful person on and off the screen!
